I see that in my YouTubeTV Guide there will be another hour at 4PM.  Do you know if it will be the first hour or the fifth hour?  I think last year they repeated the first hour.

Also with YouTubeTV they will record it in 4 parts, even though I am watiching as it broadcasts, when I rewatch it later, it will stop after each hour and then I have to play the next one and unfortunately, it overlaps, so trying to burn it to a DVD is difficult as I will manually have to delete the last 30 or so seconds of the first clip and then do the same for the beginning of the second clip and so on.  And for watcihing in on Antenna TV, YouTube TV doesn't carry it and OTA, I am not able to pick up our local channels other than the PBS ones as there is a small mountain between my home and the transmitter.

When I had Dish Network, I was able to manually set a timer so it would record the entire program as one block.

That extra hour at 4pm is as always the original '66 footage with the first hour of my restored soundtrack.

I'm enjoying the Yule Log right now on Antenna TV. HOPEFULLY they let it run completely through. Last year, during the final Hallelujah chorus, they cut to the next program! LOL.

Merry Christmas. Watching on Antenna TV here and many, many commercials. When they return from the breaks, the feed is blank for about 20 seconds, then a few seconds of the program, then a set of commercials once again. Sadly, it is difficult to enjoy the program this year.

That's a shame for you guys that had the Antenna TV broadcast butchered, because here in New York it is always shown on Antenna TV *completely* commercial free. I guess the local affiliates have the right to inject their own lousy God darn commercials, thereby destroying the program. They shouldn't even be allowed to broadcast the darn thing if they can't do it right. It's infuriating.

Susan, just as you experienced it on YouTubeTV, like last year, the FiOS guide had the 9am-1pm airing of The Yule Log divided up into three separate blocks, from 9am-10:30am, 10:30am-12pm, and 12pm-1pm, rather than one four-hour block.

Since I watch parts of the WPIX broadcast 'live' while we're doing things around the house, and then watch the entire recorded broadcast later, FiOS dividing the program into several blocks creates a small gap where one recording would end, and a few seconds would be missing between that and when the next block would start recording.  A minor thing, I know.  It has to be a "This is a FiOS thing", rather than "This is how the schedule looked when WPIX gave it to them" thing.

Yes, YouTube TV shows it in 1 1/2 hour blocks, but watching it right now it just runs smoothly but when I watch it later, I will have to chose which version I want to watch and it will only play the 1 1/2 hour block and then I have to choose the next one.  And as I mentioned before, there will be an overlap of the song that wa playing durning trhe last half hour of the previous block.  Bit still very enjoyable to watch.  I have watc1d this every year exxcetp for one around 2014 or 2015 as I chjanged TV providers and the didn't carry WGN.  We didn't have an Antaenna TV affiliate at the time.  But I was able to get WPIX as a Superstation block and that had WPIX, WWOR, KWGN, KTLA and 1 other CW or WB affiliate.
