I recently moved to Conway, SC, near Myrtle Beach.  The area is served by two TV providers, HTC and Spectrum.  HTC is a local provider.  Spectrum carries Antenna TV, HTC does not.  Unfortunately, HTC is my provider.  I'll have to watch the PIX 11 broadcast on my laptop.  It is what it is.

Hello All:

For those of us wanting to watch on the Pix 11 web broadcast.  Is that PIX11.com?   Will they be starting at 6am Eastern?   Is it the well known Yule Log that is featured on this web site or another version?  Thanks, unfortunately, my only other alternative is streaming via Antenna TV and even my teenage kids aren't up early enough to enjoy that early broadcast.  

Yes, the one and only original WPIX Yule Log over the air on Channel 11 and streaming on Pix11.com, but this year only from 9am-1pm (as with Antenna TV, only four hours total this year because of E/I programming requirements).

In looking ahead to Christmas Day on DIRECTV's program guide, WPIX at 4:00 PM lists The (Lost) Yule Log. Is that the original footage or a special on how it was found?

I have messaged WPIX on Facebook and even via their website about the broadcast.  More because they use to have a ROKU channel that showed  their news and weather as well as clips from The Magic Garden,  The Honeymooners and much more, but they never got back to me.

If my memory is correct, they did show The Yule Log on their ROKU channel too.

Last year when I went to view it on the WPIX website, it would start out just fine and maybe 30 minutes in, it would start over.  I messaged them last year about this and they told me that they were having technical difficulties and that it should be fixed, but I went back to watch it again and it just kept repeating the first half hour..

I did mention their ROKU channel too, and they said that they were working on a new one, but as of today, nothing.

I realize that PIX was bought by another company and maybe the new owners just don't want to spend money on adding thier ROKU channel back.  From what I understand, they don't get the channel for free so they depend on people responding to advertisements it gain revenue from the channel.

Merry Christmas and  Happy New Year to Chip and all (a bit early).   If someone could confirm the Roku channel availability for PIX11 that would be great.  Otherwise, I will be watching on my laptop via PIX11.com.   Antenna TVs local broadcast (Central time) is too early, unfortunately.

Looking forward as always.  More than ever these days and this Christmas, we need the original Yule Log!

It doesn't appear to have any updates.  There is a suggestion about using the WPIX Mobile App and streaming it to your ROKU, but that would only work if you live in the NYC/NJ area as you would have to be a subscriber to WPIX via a cable or satellie provider.  If you don't live in that area, you would be able stream local channels that are from your area.

That one hour airing from 4pm-5pm is the inferior original 1966 footage.
