Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/14/2022 01:27:50Copy HTML This is great Chip. I have YouTube TV, and I hope that they change the guide so I will be able to DVR it. I tried DVR'ing The Honeymooners on Thanksgiving Day, but the guide showed Couple Court and Steve Wilkos etc., and though it recorded The Honeymooners, it listed it as the shows that normally air, and then each day after, it would record them. So I had to deltete it from my recordings. I did get March Of The Wooded Soldiers though as it did show up in the guide. Christmas Isn't Just A Day In December, It's A Way Of Life.

Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/14/2022 04:29:36Copy HTML Hello... I'm surprised no one mentioned the WPIX issue with Comcast in the NY/NJ/CT areas. Maybe you don't know, but Comcast was forced to remove WPIX from it's channel lineup and that happened back on December 3rd. It has something to do with WPIX's parent company Nexstar. This is a very unfortunate time for this to be happening. Honeymooners, March of the Wooden Soldiers, Yule Log and others are all things that I (and I'm sure many other people) watch. Chip, I know you deal with people over at WPIX. Do you know if WPIX will be returning to Comcast anytime soon? I'm really hoping this situation gets rectified before Christmas. |

Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/17/2022 01:48:26Copy HTML Susan: Sorry you experienced that technical glitch; in the world of television, regrettably, it does happen from time to time. Patrick: I didn't want to sound the alarm bells yet, as I was hoping this issue would be resolved by Christmas; unfortunately, it's hard to say at this point if it will. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri

Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/17/2022 02:17:55Copy HTML Thanks Chip, Well for "The Yule Log" it is now listed but in 3 seperate banks on the guide. I have it set to DVR just in case I am not home to watch it as I may be going to family for the weekend. It will also DVR "March of the Wooden Soldiers" again as it was already checked in my guide, so as long as it is checked, it will DVR it every time it comes on, regarless of the channel. Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/19/2022 02:58:08Copy HTML UPDATE: WPIX seems to be back on Comcast. I noticed it last night (12/18). I'm so glad they were able to resolve this before Christmas. |

Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/25/2022 05:18:16Copy HTML Susan, Were you referring to the fact that the FiOS channel guide had the 9am-1pm airing of The Yule Log divided up into three separate blocks, from 9am-10:30am, 10:30am-12noon, and 12noon-1pm, rather than one four-hour block? I had noticed that when I was setting up the DVR for the week, and hoped that it would be corrected before this morning, but, it was not. |

Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/26/2022 02:00:21Copy HTML Yes, that is how it was listed on YouTubeTV. I was concerned because if there is the same program at another time, such as March of The Wooden Soldiers, it deletes the original recording and then uses the most recent one. But last night when I check, it showed 3 seperate blocks of The Yule Log, and then the 4th hour that aired after March of The Wooden Soldiers was the 1966 footage. {EDITED} In watching this on YouTubeTV yesdterday, ther 1 1/2 hour blocks overlap on the next one, so it isn't continuous. I get a little of the last song that already play at the beginning of the next block. Christmas Isn't Just A Day In December, It's A Way Of Life.

Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/28/2022 07:21:08Copy HTML Susan, Since I entered each of the separate blocks of programming manually into the schedule, the DVR would treat them all as individual shows, and would not delete any if it considered them to be duplicates. I had four recordings for The Yule Log at the end of the day: the 9am-10:30 block, the 10:30am-12noon block, 12noon-1pm, and the hour of the 1966 Yule Log later that afternoon. By FiOS dividing the program into the separate blocks, there was a small gap where one recording would end, and a few seconds would be missing between that and when the next block would start recording. I know that I remember seeing that the national airing on Antenna TV showed one complete programming block for the Yule Log that morning. so I'm not sure where the disconnect happened in the information for the programming grid. I know that it's all in the past, now, but in your original post in this thread, where you add the note directing people "For the National television coverage on Antenna TV and the *FULL* 5-hour broadcast, please Click Here," the hyperlink leads to the information for the 2021 National schedule. |

Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/28/2022 02:01:32Copy HTML I didn't have a choice for setting the DVR to record The Yule Log, it automatically had it listed as 3 seperate programs and then the 1 hour 1966 footage. So that is how it shows in my recordings, But again, it starts the next block with part of the song it was on in the previous block. So, if I wanted to put this on DVD, as I have done in the past, I would have to try and remove a few seconds of the beginning of the next block and trying to get it exact would be difficult. Oh well, at least I have the 2022 version. I have all the previous broadcasts except for 2018-2021. I did try to get it from WPIX's website, but they had a glitch and it kept repeating the first hour. I don't remember if it was for 2020 or 2021. Also we do get Antenna TV, but where I live, i can't pick up the local station that has it on a sub-station. But in a way, I don't really need it lol since I get WPIX. Re:2022 Yule Log Broadcast Schedule (Local Coverage) Date Posted:12/28/2022 05:57:43Copy HTML Thanks, Ed. Even though, as you said, it's in the past now, I fixed the post anyway, as the schedules stay on the board permanently and people refer back to them for reference. It's too bad somebody didn't see that error sooner and bring it to my attention. It's not like me to make an error like that, but I lost my sister this year which made it a particularly tough Christmas. In fact, today would have been her birthday. But anyway, thanks again for bringing this to my attention. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri
