I was listening to the free Sirrius/XM this morning in my car, and heard a familiar instrumental version of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer by The London Sound 70. I tried searching online, but didn't really find any albums for sale. There wasn't any on eBay, but I see a few songs on YouTube, The Sounds of Christmas on Decca Records. I wasn't able to make out the catalog number. Do you know where I might get a good copy of this album? Christmas Isn't Just A Day In December, It's A Way Of Life.

Re:The London Sound 70 Date Posted:11/26/2017 04:17:52Copy HTML The London Sound 70 Christmas album, The Sounds Of Christmas, did not make my Top 500, but I listed it in Part 1 of my "Notable Mentions" section that follows the listing of the 500. It's a 3-record set that was released by Decca Records in 1970 (catalog #DEB-7-7). It pops up on eBay from time to time, so your best bet is to save it as a search; and then as soon as it's available, you will be notified. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri

Re:The London Sound 70 Date Posted:11/26/2017 01:56:14Copy HTML Thank you so much Chip,
i really appreciate the information. I remember a few of the songs being played in the 1970's, probably on CFLG FM in Cornwall Ontario. They played a lot of this type of Christmas music, and that is where I heard music from Heintje, that I hadn't heard since the 1960's. Christmas Isn't Just A Day In December, It's A Way Of Life.

Re:The London Sound 70 Date Posted:11/27/2017 11:25:15Copy HTML I saw that listing on Amazon, but it's in dispute as to whether it's the same album: the picture that's shown on Amazon is for a 1973 Disneyland Records children's album of the same name, The Sounds Of Christmas, but it's a totally different album than the London Sound 70 LP. However, the description for the album shows the artist as The London Sound 70 and the record label as Decca. So it's anybody's guess what album's really for sale. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri
