Among the several winter-themed albums in my Top 500, this particular winter album by the LeRoy Holmes Singers, Snowflakes And Sweethearts, actually only focuses 6 of the 12 songs -- half the album -- on the season of winter. The other 6 songs are just great all-around love songs. However, on the strength of these 6 winter-oriented tracks, this seemingly unpretentious, little-known and forgotten of a gem LP was propelled not only into the 1st Tier of my Top 500, but into my all-time Top 50, coming in at #45.

This album by composer, conductor and arranger LeRoy Holmes was recorded and released in 1966 by United Artists Records. For this In The Spotlight tribute, the particular song that I am featuring is the group's rollicking rendition of "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm," which is just 1 of the 12 great songs on this outstanding LP.

Enjoy!
