I've been a fan of some of the radio stations on SomaFM for years. I was pleasantly surprised to find this seasonal station, playing mostly instrumental easy listening Christmas music:

This station plays Percy Faith, Hollyridge Strings, Ferrante & Teicher, Mantovani, 101 Strings, Henry Mancini, Living Strings, much more.

Definitely check. it out!

Soma-FM is a great service. They have lots of great channels across some very niche genres.

For Christmas music I'm also a big fan of Accuradio. They have lots of stations in quite a few genres.

They also have a bunch of 50/50 stations that play half Christmas music and half genre music (Jazz, Country, Pop, Classical, etc.). It's good for when you might want a break from 100% Christmas music. Also for friends and family who aren't as into the stuff as we are...

Hey RichLI!  Thanks a million for turning me on to that Department Store Christmas streaming station!

I liked it so much I just sent them a donation to show my appreciation, in the hope that they'll keep doing this.

It reminds me of the Christmas back in 1962 when I got a job as "Uncle Mistletoe" in the Santa window at the Frederick & Nelson department store (now Nordstroms, ugh!) out here in Seattle.

I feel like I'm in Hog Heaven this year in spite of the pandemic, what with that 8 hours of vintage department store Christmas music that Jonny Gators posted and now this dreamy radio station.  I feel like I've just  stumbled into a time machine.

I just wanted to thank RickLI for the heads-up about SomaFM.  I'm listening to the 'Department Store Christmas' now, and I'm so, so charmed by their playlist so far.

Today may be the last day to listen to SomaFM's "A Department Store Christmas."

Last month when I made a small contribution to SomaFM, I included a note to Rusty Hodge, Program Director, asking him if they could keep the music playing until December 6th, since there are twelve days of Christmas, after all.  And he replied that he would try to make that happen.

So, here we are on the twelfth day of Christmas, and the department store Christmas music is still playing.  I've got it playing right now as I type this.

Enjoy it while you can!
