Date Posted:06/27/2018 04:39:44Copy HTML Chip, is Aimoo kicking us out, or will we still have a home to chat about the sounds of the season? PS: Any "Christmas is July" special announcements about RGM Christmas music releases this year? |

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:06/27/2018 08:19:44Copy HTML John, Aimoo is doing a major overhaul of its message board platform. I've applied for a complete transfer of all existing forum data to the new apparatus, but I fear this conversion could be even more disastrous than the conversion from version 7.0.1 to version 8.0.1 in 2007. The board was closed for months while I made repairs, and much information was lost and never recovered. So I'm bracing for impact. As far as the upcoming new releases for 2018 are concerned, I'd ideally like to announce them in July, but since most of the releases are UMG projects, it will take longer to get all the deals worked out.

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:07/31/2018 09:05:45Copy HTML Thanks Brad. As with Aimoo's notorious conversion to version 8.0.1 in 2007, there's a lot of problems, bugs and glitches. Post conversion this time will also require (by Aimoo and me) weeks, maybe even months, of tweaks, revisions and modifications. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:08/02/2018 06:24:23Copy HTML Sorry to hear about the technical problems. I know from LOTS of experience how difficult and frustrating that can be. At this point it's hard to find out where this new forum is. There was a thread on FaLaLaLala where folks were upset that The Yule Log message board was gone. But I posted a link to it. I hope things get worked out. If you need any tech help, feel free to ask. All the best, Brad |

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:08/02/2018 11:36:24Copy HTML Thanks Brad, I appreciate that. By the way, the message board is currently only accessible under my secondary Aimoo URL. The Main URL of http://forum1.aimoo.com/theyulelog is not yet fuctional. I'm not generally publicizing the secondary URL until most of the bugs and glitches are worked out. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:08/10/2018 02:46:48Copy HTML Chip, I noticed that "new" replies or topics aren't showing up as new or the hyperlink doesn't show as unread. I had to physically look at the date of the topic to see that there was a new post on this thread. Usually if I haven't read something, the color of the link for the thread is different, but all of the links appear as yellow Christmas Isn't Just A Day In December, It's A Way Of Life.

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:08/11/2018 02:17:37Copy HTML Susan, I reported this problem to Aimoo several days ago and they will get it fixed. In the meantime, just jump to the "Today" page to see the latest posts. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:08/13/2018 07:14:13Copy HTML Oh OK Chip, I was going to try and edit my previous post, but there isn't an option for that yet. I realized that I didn't mention that the "Topic Icons" all show the Wreath and not the Christmas Tree too when there are new posts. Christmas Isn't Just A Day In December, It's A Way Of Life.

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:08/29/2018 07:03:13Copy HTML What about the old Aimoo logo that looked like a smiley face? Will that be back? My bookmark icon for The Yule Log Forums has changed from that old Aimoo face to a non-descript and easy to miss pale blue and white box. I miss old Aimoo-Puss. Will in Seattle

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:08/29/2018 07:30:32Copy HTML I don't like that new Aimoo bookmark icon either, but I wouldn't even dream of bringing it up right now as I'm fighting with them on so many things that need to get corrected since the conversion to the new system. Eventually, when they've worked out all the critical issues and restored the rest of the features, I'll mention it to them. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri

Re:What's Happening to our board? Date Posted:08/30/2018 03:02:08Copy HTML Thanks, Chip! Where is Aimoo headquartered. Ever since this latest "upgrade" I keep running into what looks like Chinese characters. Will in Seattle
