My favorite, though, was his version of "Old Cape Cod". |

Re:RIP, Jerry Vale Date Posted:05/19/2014 09:30:37Copy HTML Jerry's biggest Billboard chart hit was You Don't Know Me, which was backed by the great Percy Faith, who arranged and conducted. As for Jerry's Christmas album, 1964's Christmas Greetings From Jerry Vale, it comes in at #166 in my Top 500 of the greatest Christmas albums of all-time. In 1972, Jerry had an appearance on the Yule Log soundtrack with his fine rendition of Silver Bells. However, posted below is his equally fine rendition of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Also posted below is the aforementioned collaboration with Percy Faith: his biggest chart hit, You Don't Know Me. Lawrence F. "Chip" Arcuri

Re:RIP, Jerry Vale Date Posted:05/20/2014 04:33:53Copy HTML Thanks for the clips Chip.
I vaguely remember hearing Jerry Vale back in 1972, I wish I had a reel-to-reel tape recorder back then so I could of recorded the simulcast on WPIX FM. It would be nice to listen to an earlier soundtrak. I had access to one but wasn't able to hook it up go a receiver being it as in a rack system from the sound company I worked for. Jerry will be missed. Christmas Isn't Just A Day In December, It's A Way Of Life.
