Last year a documentary came out about Santa's Workshop at the North Pole N.Y.Unfortunately I was away for the only local screening in the area. I was up there in the early 80's when my kids were young and I was so happy to see that it was still in operation. The Land of Make Believe in Hope N.J. is still in operation but I never made it up ther with the grandkids. What was neat about that place was Santa's Barn with a big painting of Santa on the silo. You would walk up these creeky steps to the loft where Santa would be. Storybook Land near Atlantic City is a great place to take young kids. At Christmas time the park is lit with thousands of lights. The cool part is at 5:00 an annoucement is made for everyone to go to Santa's house where he rises up out of the chimney and lights the entire park. This year since the grandkids are older we did go to Six Flags Holiday In The Park and I was pleasently surprised by what a nice job they did. |
