I don't believe this has been posted yet -- at least not that I've seen -- but it appears the 1963 "Sounds of Christmas" by Johnny Mathis will be released as part of a deluxe box set on November 17th.  No tracklisting is available yet...but I'm hoping "Have Reindeer Will Travel" as well as "The Little Drummer Boy" that were dropped from "Christmas With Johnny Mathis" (the same album minus the title - I believe that's right, isn't it, Chip?) will finally appear!   :)

Yes Wade, that is correct.

By the way, that article you posted a link to was lifted directly from Sony's website, where this new Johnny Mathis multi-disc CD release was first announced in a press release on Friday; click here.

I hope Sony chooses to release "The Sounds of Christmas" as a separate release somewhere along the line :)

I hope so too, James. Sony really should have made the Christmas disc available as a stand-alone item. By holding the Christmas CD hostage to the box set, it’s just another way to squeeze more dollars out of the consumer.
