Re:Eydie G. Date Posted:08/11/2013 03:06:45Copy HTML Oh My God!!!! What a shock!!!!
I feel like a lost a close friend, even though I never met her. I had no idea that she was even ill. Thank you Chip for choosing the 2 of my favorite songs. I used to play "Blame It In The Bossa Nova" over and over as a child, and somewhere in one of the boxes that are still in my closets, I still have that 45 and I believe I have an album of hers. The "That Holiday Feeling" is played a lot around here, as we have a local telethon, and this couple sing the song and almost sound like Steve & Eydie. I have their Christmas Album, but I don't have the Stereo one. I have never seen the Stereo album in thrift stores at all. I haven't checked recently, but even on eBay and other online sites, I have only seen the MONO album. Eydie will truly be missed. I still picture her as I did when I was a child, and not 84. I think I mentioned something like this when Andy Williams died. I picture them as I knew how they looked when I was growing up, but if I am 50 years older, than they would be 50 years older too. Usually, I am one of the first to mention when a Celebrity passes away, but that is only from finding it out on Yahoo or somewhere else, but since The Yule Log is my Home Page, and I check the message board first, I found out here instead of Yahoo or somewhere else. Rest In Peace Eydie Christmas Isn't Just A Day In December, It's A Way Of Life.
