It's hard to believe that a beautiful and touching movie like Christmas Eve starring Loretta Young having been legitamately released on VHS for a short time back in the early 1990's has unfortunately yet to be re-released onto DVD. I was lucky enough to have bought it at the time but the copy is getting some noticeable wear from being played so much. I wonder what is causing the delay. It is because there is no real demand for it, or perhaps some sort of copyright issue. With so many holiday movies available on DVD these days, I just feel this movie is being very unfairly overlooked.

First of all, just to clarify for the folks who might read this thread, the movie that Rich is referring to is not the 1947 United Artists theatrical film Christmas Eve, which starred George Raft and Joan Blondell. This film, rather, is a 1986 TV movie that alternately went by the name Christmas Dove.

Rich, I'm not sure if this was a legitimate release or not, but there is a person on iOffer selling the film on DVD; Click Here.

Hi Chip...long time no see!! Thanks so much for sending me that link for the Christmas Eve DVD. But it looks like I waited too long to buy it since the title no longer seems to be available...thru that link anyway. That actually DID appear to be a legtimate DVD release since it had the DVD logo on the cover and the artwork looked authentic also. I tried looking up amazon and Ebay to avail...They only sell counterfeit copies on DVD and no doubt would be very inferior picture quality. Do you have any other links that you know of to purchase that same copy you sent from ioffer? Looking to buy a copy of it for my mom this year.

Thanks!
