Percy Faith's three Christmas albums, Music of Christmas, Music of Christmas Volume 2 (also known as Hallelujah!) and Christmas Is should be released by Sony in a compilation set. The title should be The Percy Faith Christmas Collection. All three albums would need to be re-mastered to bring them up to 2010 recording standards. This year, Mantovani Christmas Carols (1958 stereo edition), was brought back to life through the efforts of Chip and everyone else who posts on this board. Why not a Percy Faith collection for 2010! The Percy Faith Christmas Collection would be a must-have for any collection of classic Christmas music! It's Christmas and we all can dream! Maybe we can make it happen!

It is the concept of the 'compilation' that has kept many classic Christmas LPs from being released in their entirety on CD. This is precisely the reason why Polygram, and then later, Universal Music, would never release Mantovani's Christmas Carols LP on CD; they simply felt that since they had already released several compilations of Monty's Christmas music, there was no need to reissue it -- and they never did. It took my suggestion to an outside company, Collectors' Choice Music, to finally get the LP released on CD. Compilations are the most expedient and cost-effective way for the record companies to release Christmas material on CD, but it has come at the expense of many classic Christmas LPs getting a full release on CD. The idea for a Percy Faith Christmas Collection occured to me because I have a Sinatra compilation, The Complete Capital Singles Collection, covering Mr. Sinatra's years (1953-61) with the label. It also includes a number of unreleased tracks. My idea was to have all three Percy Faith Christmas albums plus any unreleased Christmas material, similar to the Sinatra collection.
