This year, for Christmas 2011, TCM has an exceptional schedule of holiday programming lined up. There are two particular highlights this year: the premiere on TCM of the classic and legendary 1951 version of A Christmas Carol and the premiere of the fourth installment of TCM's 'Night at the Movies' documentary series, with this one focusing on Christmas movies entitled TCM Night at the Movies: Merry Christmas! It should be a great special and it will premiere on Tuesday, December 6th at 8:00pm (EST), with encore showings that night at 11pm and 5:30am. The special will also encore again on December 18th at 12pm and December 20th at 10pm. And the biggest single highlight of the month, the TCM premiere of the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol starring the great Alastair Sim, will air on Monday, December 12th at 8pm (a prime time showing!).

Other highlights for the month include the airings of great Christmas classics such as Miracle on 34th Street, The Bishop's Wife, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Shop Around the Corner, Going My Way, The Lemon Drop Kid (another TCM premiere), Holiday Affair, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Christmas in Connecticut and the modern classic A Christmas Story. So get ready for a spectacular month on TCM! I posted below the schedule for the days of their Christmas programming.
