Hi All,

I don't recall if I’ve already asked here before,

but I'm still trying to find a copy of Johnny Carson’s pre-recorded show that he used to runon Christmas Eve; pre-1984.

From about1973/74 to 1982/83 he ran a show called “The Sounds of Christmas Eve” (in placeof The Tonight Show)

and starringDoc Severinsen along with Henry Mancini playing keyboard for his “Carol for Another Christmas”

along withTommy Newsom (on French Horn) and the Tonight Show band.

Also starringin that show was a poem by Victor Buono, and the St. Charles Borremeo ChurchChoir.

(No WPIX or WGN in Michigan/Ohio with the great Yule Log back then, or now :(  either)

Any leads on finding a VHS tape of this program would be appreciated.

(It was replaced with a show called "Christmas with Friends" around 1985, and that soundtrack

was even released on an LP, but the eighties updated program did not include the great Henry Mancini on keyboards.)

Thanks,

John
