Re:Carols For Christmas (5-cd set, Sony) Date Posted:12/02/2009 06:19:32Copy HTML Thanks, Chip. Since I don't have any of these albums, can you tell me your opinion of them? If worth it, I may pick it up.
Thanks again,

Re:Carols For Christmas (5-cd set, Sony) Date Posted:12/02/2009 09:03:34Copy HTML The Robert Shaw album in this box set (his third Christmas album) is in my 2nd Tier and the Leonard Bernstein is in my 3rd Tier. As for the other 3 albums in this box set, I myself am not partial to operatic-style Christmas music; but if you are, then you will like the Mario Lanza, Placido Domingo and Eileen Farrell Christmas albums. Re:Carols For Christmas (5-cd set, Sony) Date Posted:12/15/2009 10:34:47Copy HTML The Mario Lanza set is the Remake of the early '50's recordings, made only months before Lanza's untimely passing in October 7,1959..it's also in "Living Stereo",as opposed to his other Christmas material..just imagine if he'd lived after '59..one can only wonder what Christmas song Lanza would've recorded! Oh,well.. Love & Peace to all,Michael Boyce
