To help and try and assuage the negative effects that this epic and execrable year has had on everyone, Real Gone Music is doing its part to help with the healing with a first-ever "Christmas in July" holiday CD release. And for this occasion, a long out-of-print Christmas gem is finally getting its due with a *first-ever* release on CD.

It's Felix Slatkin's splendid 1961 Christmas LP, Seasons Greetings.

This album hails from the 2nd Tier of my Top 500 , coming in at #231. It is a delightfully sweet, soft and sentimental instrumental Christmas album, replete with the magical light touch of Maestro Felix Slatkin.

For this special release, I had our own Steve Harmon -- who inspired the project -- set to write the CD booklet's liner notes. However, when I called Felix Slatkin’s son, Leonard Slatkin (who is for many years now a renowned maestro in his own right!) to advise him of the CD release and to arrange for an interview for the notes, he expressed such an interest in doing them himself that we all happily acquiesced. And by the way, as it turns out, Maestro Leonard is a writer as well. So how lucky we were! And wow, the notes the Maestro wrote are spectacular. They're insightful, informative, profound and extremely engaging. And he brings a personal touch to the narrative that only a son could do. In addition, Leonard and his brother, Frederick Zlotkin (the virtuoso principal cellist for the New York City Ballet who still uses the original family surname), have provided family photos for the CD booklet!

Please be advised that this special summer Christmas release will only be available for purchase exclusively through the Real Gone Music website until November 2020; after which, it will then get a general worldwide release. You can begin ordering the CD on the RGM site beginning July 16, 2020; and November 6, 2020 from all other retailers.

Any questions or comments about this new release, please post it on the message board by clicking here.

So stay well, stay safe, be happy, and a very *Merry Christmas* in July, folks!

And please don't forget to keep the spirit of Christmas all the year through.
